I think women do deserve equal opportunities. Women have the same (if not higher in some areas [no offense boys]) mind set as men do and are able to achieve many different tasks which women have not been allowed to complete in the past. As in: until recently, women were not allowed to fight on the front lines during war even though they are perfectly capable of doing so. ~ Kohleen L.
I say no but not because I have anything against women. Women in the military have lower standards for fitness so it doesn't make sense for to put them in danger when passing the tougher regulations could be the difference between life and death. Also just by their nature, women are more likely to be taken advantage of if taken captive and the government cannot always guarantee a quick rescue. If I was in a high risk mission I would want the person who could do the most pull-ups and run the fastest with me. I think a solution to this problem would be have the women pass the same physical requirements as men.
I think its rather pompous of men to think that they have more of a right to fight for our country it's not like it belongs to only them, women live here to.
I think it shouldn't matter if you are a male or a female. People in society are suppose to be treated equal so they should get equal pay within their society.
I would say yes because even though some women may be less fit that doesn't mean they all are. Men and women should be treated the same and have the same requirements for all types of work.
Yes, women should be allowed to be in combat. They are fully aware of how dangerous it is to be on a warfront and what might happen to them if they were to become a POW. In law enforcement and in the military, as long as women as individuals can pass the tests that the men can, they should be given the same equal opportunities that men do.
I think women deserve the equal opportunities to be in combat or in law enforcement. They're not taking these jobs to be protected from the dangers, they are taking these jobs so they can serve and protect our country. Women know what can happen to them. Women should be put through a set of standards so not everyone who isn't fit gets put in these jobs. They deserve to be treated as equals.
Yes, because not all women are frail and helpless. If they wish to fight for their country, then I say let them. :)
